For the longest time, I was stymied when it came to figuring out what set this card belonged to. Clearly the card was #8 in the "final series" but with no date on the card, actually identifying the set proved challenging. Eventually, however, I was able to pin this one down - it's part of the ten card Broder Final Series set from 1988.
Truth be told, for an unlicensed card the front design is actually quite nice. The back side, on the other hand, is exceedingly boring...probably one of the most boring card backs in all of my Larkin Collection in fact! Still, it feels good to finally know what set this card belongs to (and as a result, I can now safely tuck the card away in its proper spot in my Barry Larkin binder of cards).

You managed to come up with one I've never seen! You're right, not terrible up front and awful on the back, but it's fun finding those old oddballs like this.
ReplyDeleteDennis, glad to have found a "new" one for ya! Oddballs are certainly interesting, though often times difficult to figure out what set they actually belong to.
