An eBay Win for Me!

Last week, I was stumbling around on eBay when I happened to spot a Barry Larkin card that I needed for my collection for only $1.  As I often do when I discover something I want, I check out that seller's other items to see if I can save some money on shipping...and in this case, I could.  IF I bought at least 12 cards they would all be shipped free.

Sold.  But the problem was, what 12 cards?  The seller had a number of Barry Larkin cards, but it turned out that I only needed six which meant I had to scavenge for six other cards to add to my cart.

Luckily for me, that wasn't hard to do as the seller had a bunch of 2000 Topps base cards listed.  There were six there that I needed for my set, so I grabbed them and called it a day.

Oh sure, I definitely over spent on the 2000 Topps (basically $1 a card is way too much) BUT I figured I basically broke even with the free shipping...and some of those Larkins I picked up I hadn't seen anywhere else so I'll take it.

In case you happen to have some 2000 Topps collecting dust, here's what I still need out of the set:

2000 Topps needs:Base:  46, 47, 84, 143, 209, 216, 219, 237, 245, 251, 258, 270, 274, 278, 283, 290, 305, 313, 328, 332, 359, 370, 381, 397, 405, 439, 444, 448, 449, 462, 469, 477, 478, 479
That's it for the purchase - though you can bet I'll be sure to show off each of the Larkin cards individually as part of my ongoing Barry Larkin Collection in due time.
